Gum Arabic Hashab Clean
Gum Arabic is a complex mixture of polysaccharides and glycoprotein that is used primarily in the food industry as a stabilizer. It is also known as acacia gum. It is edible and is a key ingredient in traditional lithography, used in:
> Food industries : As an emulsifier and a thickening agent to prevent crystallization of sugar in chewing gum and other confectionary treats.
> Dairy products : As a stabilizer in frozen products.
> Medical industry (Capsules shells) : As a binder, emulsifying agent, and a suspending or viscosity increasing agent.
> Cosmetics industries: is used in lotions and protective creams to give smooth feel.
> Soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Pepsi)
It is used widely in the pharmaceutical industry as a demulcent and in the cooking industry to give body and texture to processed food products. It also is used to stabilize emulsions. It is very soluble in water, but does not dissolve in alcohol.
Gsum Arabic Hashab is obtained from the stems and branches of Acacia Senegal tress. It is pale white to yellowish –orange in solid. It is odorless and slightly acidic and is known for being edible. It is majorly used in food industry such as marshmallows, soft-drinks and other candies.
It also plays an important role in printing, production of paint and cosmetic industries.
